Elements: On the occasion of the grocery store’s 75th anniversary, Josep Roca Torres wanted to place this mural on the store’s facade in 1987, which also became the advertising sign. Casa Dolores, in its beginnings was not only a grocery store, but during the first years, everything could be bought in the store: clothes by the meter, underwear, sheets, shoes and espadrilles, colognes and also liquors bulk Specialization came around the sixties, when the business is basically focused on sausages, fruit and vegetables. Josep Roca made the design, incorporating the silhouette of the Castle tower and the church bell tower in the sketch, and the artist Enric Orobitg was in charge of the execution.

Ordered: This mural was commissioned by the owner of the store, Josep Roca.
Historical context: Until the middle of the 20th century, Carrer de Sant Pere Claver and Plaça de la Verdura were the commercial center of the town; there were grocers, hairdressers, butchers, a bakery, a fishmonger, an animal saddler and a mattress maker, which little by little closed their businesses, and which today has been greatly reduced.
