Symbolism: The mural conveys the owner’s love for the butcher’s craft learned through the different family generations, the importance he attaches to ceramics, recognizing the ceramists of Verdú as artists, and finally, his love for the his town, by wanting to be placed at the entrance of the establishment, welcoming everyone who approaches.

Ordered: It was the owner of the store, Joan Vallverdú, who carried out renovation works on the establishment. The workshop part was expanded and the exhibition and sales part was improved. but in addition to the improvements to the interior, this mural was also commissioned, as an artistic part.

Curiosities: Joan Vallverdú secretly commissioned this mural from the artist from Verdun, Enric Orobitg. Once the mural was finished, he presented it to the family to be placed on the front of the store.
